More than just a souvenir...

Hey everybody, I'm sure you've been wondering what we've been up to recently.  I know we've been wondering what we've been up to. First, there was another idea session with Tom.  The way those work is he reads off the ideas he has captured on little pads of paper, and I laugh.  A current favorite is, "Hey Sasquatch, shave your pubes before you use the urinal."  Until that makes it into production, you can get the latest two at the online store.   I'm sure you'll agree, they are both incredibly attractive potential additions to your wardrobe. Also in the production chain is a job that has become an annual favorite of mine.  In this vicinity (and apparently around the world) there is a pastime called "mud bogging".  For those unfamiliar with this activity, I'll direct you to Youtube.  As with everything else imaginable, you can receive an education on the subject to deliver you to nearly any level of expertise. We're trying out some new stuff. As much as I like just wearing regular shirts, I understand people enjoy wearing a variety of garments. This is the first shirt we'll offer that's directed toward women, and/or men who like wearing women's clothes. And every time I jump into the program I think it just might-- either that or I might break something valuable. I think the thing that really pushes the boundaries of my sanity with Illustrator is it's capacity to seemingly randomly enable you to do what you wanted, and then a few seconds later and despite your following the EXACT chain of movements and keystrokes will totally deny you the ability to repeat it. I know there is a reason for this.  I know also that "EXACT" doesn't really mean "EXACT", but it sure does feel that way. Anyhow, I'm one logo down, and I've got a few more to go.  I'm optimistic that I c

Grooving...

Well, we're gradually getting a grip on things here at the Squid. We're getting some new designs printed up (designs submitted on some level or other by local geniuses). I always get excited with new prints. No matter how many times I do it. These next ones are especially good for getting comments from your mom after she catches you with one on at the next family gathering. I had to duck out a little bit early today, otherwise I would have them posted already on the online store . Also, Cindy Bicker's middle school printmaking and design class came through the shop last week and were educated in the science of illustration and the art of the screen print. It's always interesting entertaining a rather large group of adolescent humans in a relatively small space for a length of time that easily crowded the boundaries of their attention spans. They rose to the occasion, however, and overcame any handicaps they might have had and behaved in a manner I can only descr
